Remember it took 4 years for the Galaxy S4. But as time goes on there may be more news that leaks out. How is Android 6 still standing as a more secure OS than Android 5 or Android 7? It is very interesting indeed. I'm just honestly surprised that so many 6.0.1 have stumped so many devs. A lot of that is kept under wraps though. It is just a matter of figuring out how the supersu installer zip works more in depth and when. IT IS POSSIBLE to root the 6.0.1, don't get me wrong here, the WonderShare Root app proves this without a doubt. Each device has the potential to need the supersu installer to be modded, due to file locations and OEM permissions. The supersu.zip installer just wasn't designed to be installed by hand and the instructions aren't for everyone to understand. But the unstable root at that time, was VERY similar to the initial unstable root used for the Galaxy S8 before a system image was flashed over the factory binary. The WonderShare Root app actually just finished up the Install SuperSu script I was working on over a year ago when The Greyhat Root Console was being developed.Īt that time, I had the root at the command line. Because it really just comes down to setting the correct file permissions and ownership. The trick here that I haven't figured out yet, is revealing the way in which the current rooting process actually installs SuperSU. As it stands, ODIN is still required to downgrade to 5.1.1 Factory Binary. For the N920A there has yet to be a One-Click Rooting Solution to be made.
